'Freedom From: Modern Slavery in the Capital' exhibition

To coincide with the launch of our Slavery-Free London campaign, we’ve been working in partnership with the Museum of London to produce a new exhibition Freedom from: Modern slavery in the capital, which explores the personal impact of human trafficking and slavery in 21st century London and the challenges faced in tackling it, including risks associated with the upcoming 2012 Games. The display crosses both of the Museum’s sites: a map representing cases of slavery across Greater London as well as personal testimonies of those affected by slavery a photographic display at the Museum of London, and at the Museum of London Docklands, a survivors’ quilt lent by Survivors Connect hangs alongside new patches created by women who have suffered trafficking.

Dates: 23rd August – 20th November
Venue: Museum of London and Museum of London in Docklands
